Matthew K. Geha has served the Holland Springfield community as Superintendent of Springfield Local Schools since August, 2017.  In 2022, Mr. Geha was one of only four school superintendents in the state of Ohio to be recognized with the prestigious Martha Holden Jennings Foundation Outstanding Superintendent Performance Award of Excellence. Since joining Springfield Local Schools as the Principal at Springfield Middle School in August, 2004, Mr. Geha has been involved in all aspects of district operations, including: Director of Federal Programs ( August, 2012–August, 2015); Assistant Superintendent (August,  2015–August, 2017), and Food Service Director (August, 2015-July, 2016).  Prior to joining the district, Mr. Geha had been a teacher, Athletic Director, coach, and mentor in the Sylvania City School District.
